Enhancing your sporting performance with UCU
As a Performance Nutritionist and Personal Trainer, co-founder Vanessa Peat has had the pleasure of working with a range of young athletes and sporting professionals in her career to date. Helping our clients to achieve their transformation and desired results is something UCU takes great pride in. Whether you are looking for guidance to enhance your sporting or athletic performance during training or for a specific competition, we provide a complete range of Sports Nutrition services to cater to your unique needs.
Working directly with young adults in school
Creating a healthy approach to fitness and achieving great sporting experiences starts from a young age. Vanessa has worked with young recreational and sporting athletes from Year 11 through to school leavers in Sixth Form and has seen how educating and supporting them at this stage of life has empowered them to make better informed choices regarding refuelling their body correctly resulting in improved performance outcomes. At UCU, we have a food first approach where we consider the unique individuality and situation of every young athlete and performer. We educate individuals to look beyond the colourful packaging of sports supplements and instead look at the evidence behind each product and whether they are suitable for their own use, and if so, only in which circumstances. Sports Nutrition with your body in mind UCU take a holistic approach to help you achieve your unique goals.
Sports Nutrition with your body in mind
UCU take a holistic approach to help you achieve your unique goals. We take the time to investigate what makes you, you. From assessing the sport you are training for, to understanding which learning styles are most suitable to help you thrive, and by delving deep into your own biochemistry and physiology, we can help equip you with the skills and knowledge to improve your performance.
Our team of experts will educate and empower performance athletes to ensure they comprehend the importance of understanding how to refuel correctly and how to adapt these methods to meet their needs while training, competing, post competition or training, and even when they are experiencing periods of injury recovery.
Adolescents that learn how to adapt to refuel their body correctly to achieve the desired performance and post-performance results at this stage of life will have learned a lifelong skill, a skill which they can take forwards into a healthy and fulfilled adulthood.
